Healing doesn’t begin when you become stronger.
It begins when you are finally safe enough to be honest.
Hey!
I ' m Melody
This is my story.

If you’ve ever felt like you had to become strong too soon…
If you’ve learned how to function, perform,
or hold it together while quietly losing parts of yourself…
If you sense there is more to you than what survival has required,
you are not alone.
My work was born in those spaces.
For more than fifteen years, I have walked closely with women and families in seasons of crisis, betrayal, grief, and rebuilding.
I’ve sat with women as they told the truth about what broke them.
I’ve watched them discover that their pain was not the end of their story—
but often the doorway back to themselves and to God.
I am a writer, teacher, and trauma-informed relationship coach,
but before all of that, I am a listener. Much of my work happens in quiet,
relational spaces—where women begin to feel safe enough to exhale,
to name what they’ve carried, and to remember who they were before the world asked them to shrink, strive, or survive.
My writing and curriculum are rooted in Scripture and spiritual formation,
shaped by lived ministry experience, and grounded in the belief that healing does not begin with fixing what is broken,
but with remembering what was true before the breaking.
I care deeply about helping women return to their God-given identity—
not through performance or pressure, but through the steady,
restoring presence of God. I am the author of Signals of Love and have recently completed a manuscript titled Grit & Grace: The Restoring of the Feminine Soul, a work shaped by years of walking with women in pain and sparked anew by the birth of my first grandchild. It is an invitation to come home—to yourself, to God, and to the design that was placed in you long before life became complicated.
Along the way, I’ve created devotionals, online courses, and small-group resources for churches and ministries, contributed to The Heart of Man documentary, and taught through writing, podcasting, and on-camera curriculum.
I am trained as an Enneagram Coach, trauma-informed relationship coach, and mental health coach, but my deepest growth has come from the women who trusted me with their stories. This has been sacred, holy work.
I live in Birmingham, Alabama, serve at my local church, and sing on the praise team, because worship has been one of the most healing, grounding practices in my life. Also, I am the mother of four grown children that I consider my greatest accomplishments. We love the outdoors and play and being together, and, while our story is still unfolding and our family is growing, they remain one of my greatest joys! Motherhood has deeply shaped my faith and my work, reminding me that life is precious, relational, ongoing, and rooted in lots of love and grace.
